Amicable readers and heart-massaging well-wishers, it has been a week of much excitement and transportation over in my bubble. Alongside dealing with substantial water damage which has forced our small unit of family out of our home, I have been preparing for the premier of Branche ton iPod, a radio show set to premier here in my local home town.

It is hosted by my highfaluting chum Patrick, will be inviting Quebec personalities to the show to chit-chat with, who will bring along their mp3 player and random songs will be selected from it and listened to. Music helps us understand how people tick, you see.

I have the auspicious task of maintaining the show’s official website. After fiddling around with some design, it’s pretty simply almost quite just about all done as the show nears its initial airdate, such being Monday June 4.

Of true interest is the short weekly podcast I will be hosting for the site in which I will present a few music discoveries I made on the web. Thus, if challenging your French skills is something which seems partly amusing to you, please, do make sure you take a moment to go nuts.

Upon the initial audition of Chromeo’s She’s In Control, one cannot keep oneself from marveling at the duo’s mastery of 80’s club influenced electro troubadourery. But one need not scratch too deeply ‘neath the retro drum machine thud and ever-so-appropriate cymbal crash surface to expose its juicy ironic center.

Whether it be through the intentionally cheesy lyrics, David Macklovitch’s gangly and wholly unbelievable role as the sexy frontman, or Pee Thugg’s wannabe gangsta sneers, one can wonder if they’re taking themselves too seriously; but the discerning ear will grasp the full extent of the sillyness behind their funky, catchy beats. Be warned, this is no comedy outfit. This be music for those who appreciate the finer things.

Chromeo released their brand new Fancy Footwork song collection disc, which eggs you on to obtain it.

Apologies, fellows and well-wishers, for my unforseen absence this past Saturday. Events of great change are upon my abode, of which you shall be informed of upon an appropriate timeframe.

But what of this magnificent work of art, of which the utilization of gummi bears has provided such a soft, warm, and sophisticated glow upon a chandelier?

You pass from New York and onto somewhere much more opaque, and your mind drifts into sequential moments of bridled contentment from an escapade which you felt was overdue.
